November Events at The Creative Café

November will be an exciting month at The Creative Café! We have pop up sales, workshops and a jump start to the holiday season with our Christmas Open House on 21 November! Be sure to mark your calendar for the events below!!

Pop up sale with Carolin Schirmeisen
3-5 November (Mornings from 9:30 to 12:00)

 

Carolin Schirmeisen will be in The Creative Café for three mornings to show you how she creates her beautiful felted wool shawls using the nuno felting technique. She will also have a selection of her unique, individually designed shawls available for sale. What a great Christmas present this could be for a friend or loved one!

Workshop: Christmas Cards & Tags
Wednesday, 18 November (19:00-21:30) - Workshop 1
Thursday, 19 November (9:30-12:00) - Workshop 2

This workshop will help you make four beautiful hand-stamped Christmas cards and 4-5 gift tags for your Christmas giving. Instruction and all materials to make the above cards are provided in the course fee. Registration required by Tuesday, 17 November.

Christmas Open House
Saturday, 21 November from 10:00 to 17:00

 

Are you looking for a special, handmade gift for Christmas? Grab a friend and stop by The Creative Café to get a head start to your Advent and Christmas shopping! We will demonstrate simple stamping techniques and gift wrapping ideas, and will have homemade goodies, Glühwein, and crepes to give you more energy for shopping. And, of course, we will have a selection of handmade products, paper and stamping supplies and block-print textiles to meet your Christmas needs.

We will also have a special gift for purchases over CHF 50! 
Special events include:

11:00-12:00  -  Gift wrapping & stamping demonstrations

14:00-16:00  -  Freshly made crêpes will be available

Pop Up Sale with Sandra Ritter!
Thursday, 26 November 9:30-16:00

Sandra Ritter will be in The Creative Café for the day and will be selling some of her adorable handmade clipboards, witty block signs and various other Christmas and Advent products.

These make great stocking stuffers and little gifts for friends, teachers and children!

We are excited about all of these amazing events and look forward to seeing you at one of them!!

Fall is here!

The trees are changing colors, the days are getting shorter and before we know it, the holidays will be upon us!!! However, before we start thinking about Christmas, October is a celebration month in The Creative Café as INDesign4U is 1 year old!

As a thank you for your continued support, you will receive a free gift with purchase(s) or placing an order worth CHF 100 or more. And, if you order curtains, hemming will be free (a value of CHF 7 per curtain)! Additionally, you can stop by for a glass of bubbly on the following Wednesday afternoons in October.

FALL HOLIDAYS:

The Creative Café will be closed from 10-17 October. We look forward to welcoming you back on Tuesday, 20 October!

OCTOBER WORKSHOPS:

Canvas Art Workshop 

Thursday, 22 October from 9:00-12:00

This workshop is a great way to learn the art of mixed media! All materials and instruction will be provided to show you how to create a unique canvas using paper, paint, washi tapes, stickers and more! Workshop will be taught by Barbara Nigg.

Space is limited to 6 people (minimum required is 4) and registration is required by 20 October.

Cost: CHF 48 per person

Open Project Morning

Last Wednesday of the month, 9:00-12:00

Get inspired to finish that project that has been sitting in your closet (or under the bed, or in the corner...)! Join us for a coffee, inspiration and ideas to help you tick a project off of your "to do" list.
